Studio || Design Space

Recently I was asked to take a few pictures around the studio for one of our online stockists Otiumberg and their stores journal, so here is a closer look into our work surroundings here at HQ. Expect digital prints, design boards and cups of tea! . . . . and of course juicy Lucy the studio succulent plant!
It's not everyday that you'll find me in the studio wearing this attire, the norm is T by Alexander Wang track pants (bracing ourselves for the Wang X H&M collaboration) and super soft whistles seam back tee's, however this day was filled with meetings in the studio and around Manchester. Our favorite meeting place to take clients/interns/press is Teacup in the Northern Quarter. The flour-less chocolate cake is a must!

I'm wearing:
Oscar De La Renta heels Via theoutnet
Zara bracelet
Dior nail varnish

Industry Exhibition || Graduate Fashion Week 2014

 Having once exhibited at Graduated Fashion Week whilst studying at Manchester School of Art, the team and I now make an annual pilgrimage to London to check out what the diverse event has to offer of the current years grads. The venue, now at The Old Truman Brewery (take note - also sample sale venue) was a fantastic setting and breathed new life into the prestigious event.

Things that caught our eye:
 The university of Edinburgh, college of art and their lavender filled stand. Literally adding a touch of greenery to the packed urban event

Manchester school of Arts fashion student Camilla Grimes and her show stopping sequined, fur and embroidered collection

These inspirational textiles were captured (we think) in the Northumbria University area.

Designers Directory || London - The Mercantile

 Last week saw in this years graduates at the brand new Graduate Fashion Week venue 'The Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane, London. Just down the road whilst taking a much needed lunch break we came across a beautiful independent boutique: The Mercantile.

 Adjacent to Spitalfields market, it's a great location full of one off eateries, high street favorites and stalls full of absolutely everything. The shop frontage was as charming as the interior inside.

Coming away empty handed was impossible. Their denim selection was superb and gave me the chance to sample brands not seen so much in my home Cheshire area. I now have my very first pair of Dr.Denim jeans which are super soft, and also couldn't resist a beautiful  Decadorn quartz necklace which they had displayed in a vintage suitcase. Perfection.
