Colour forecasting || AW21

C O L O U R    F O R E C A S T I N G

We may not have got near Spring/Summer 2021 yet but my desk is completely covered in inspirational AW21 images influencing my design process for the wintery season ahead. Possibly because we are currently surrounded by snow!
As described in the last pic (created at some unearthly hour on insta stories!), with covid life putting a stop to many catwalk and lookbook showcases portrayed by high-end luxe designers which usually trickle down to inspire my design; I have alternatively found so much inspiration in my fave lifestyle bloggers.
Each coming up with their own unique inspirational style and content that keeps us motivated and inspired. They also share the glimpses of normal day to day life which we can all relate to. Our current daily treat being a trip to the Starbucks drive through, their struggles with home schooling etc. These fabulous ladies are keeping it real with a side of stylish flair!

AW20-21 || Design development - Minimal Majesty

D E S I G N   P R O C E S S - M i n i m a l   M a j e s t y

It feel like it's been ages since I shared the moodboard and design development stages of a collection so here is what I've been tinkering with over the past few months.

A glimpse into AW20-21 in the making.
It's already developed further since this snapshot in time but every step along the way is vital. I've been working on a few entirely new products for the winter collection as lockdown has supplied the time to really focus on research & product design (in between order processing and wrapping!)

The other challenge i'm facing is that I've completely outgrown my current studio space as my brand expands. An issue that can now be looked into has lockdown eases.

As always, black and white is a main focus but I've been exploring a fusion between painterly watercolours and grand majestic decor, an un-expected miss-match that is pairing together in a weird and minimal way!

AW19 || The New Mood

T h e   n e w   m o o d

I've been mood-boarding gathered images like crazy this past few weeks.
Photos taken in Ibiza and Santorini of dusky pink sunsets contrast against geometrical monochrome patterns. Minimal home decor trends mix with muted greys and barely there peach tones.
Naive line art and unplanned speckle prints combine with messy fonts. It's shaping up slowly and surely.
AW19-20 in the making.
