My version of embracing colour || The new season Bow Bag

I never thought I'd be that ice queen mixing white and creams but here I am giving it a go!
Off out for tea with a bestie, sporting the new black bow bag :-)

Style Diary X The lockdown wardrobe released!

Warm summer evenings are here and it's finally time to release the wardrobe I bought throughout lockdown life! Didn't we all over shop online during isolation!

I bought this dress as I thought it would be 'bump friendly', in actual fact I wore it very little during pregnancy because we literally weren't allowed out!

The hubby brought these monochrome speckled insulation boards home and naturally to me they have more use as a backdrop to document my outfit before heading to Alberts in Didsbury for some cocktails! I even had to get Arthur involved in the photoshoot!

Spring Blossom - New ways of doing business

My little business is still closed while I adjust to my new life as 3 and we continue to set up my new (and slightly bigger) studio.

This is just a reflective quick 5 minute thought really, if you are interested . . . .

As I enter this new and exciting phase of my life, I've realised I need to focus on the part of my business that I LOVE! Designing the packaging is an addiction but physically wrapping and packing 103837289434773839 orders (bit of an exaggeration), especially over the busy Christmas period is not what I should be spending my time doing. Designing prints and products is my thing and that's where my time and energy should be.

So it's time to adapt. Possibly drop shipping or hiring somebody to come to my studio once or twice a week to wrap and pack. I'm not 100% sure what the answer is yet but it's an exciting time!

The New Studio || Expanding the #girlboss business

It's been the craziest, busiest few months ever! Moved into a new studio and had a baby, but life is returning to normal. I've spent the past few weeks getting to know my gorgeous new little human (Arthur, aka Munchkin) while also designing a new range of accessories.
In any spare time I've been pottering around my new work area setting everything up and then also grabbing some much needed sleep!

So here I am, as proud as punch in front of the studio shutters.
I'd very much out grown the previous room and now I am thrilled to have sassy space for a sofa and soft furnishings! It's a really chilled out studio/living room environment.

I just need a few shelves to line up phone case orders and a few minimal black frames for artwork, once I've done that I'll no doubt find something else that needs doing!

The new collection!

Cozy Coats and Sequins || The classic Whistles wrap coat of my dreams

The first fresh new post of 2021!

We've obviously not kicked off the year as we'd hoped leaping from one lockdown to another but the new year brings loads of change for me even in a nationwide lockdown.

If you follow me on insta, you'll know I am due to have a baby in Feb! We await the arrival of 'munchkin' as we've named the bump for now.

My second big piece of news is that I am expanding my business and more importantly my work space.  After securing a fab new studio much bigger then the one I currently work in, I have the room and space to grow my little independent brand even further.

Why not embrace all these new changes all at once!

Moving on to lockdown style and keeping things fun, here is my latest purchase. The extremely classic Whistles pale pink wrap coat. Oversized luxe sleeves, the softest material, I just bloody love it! Currently in their sale and naturally styled with sequins because why not?!

Pretty City London at Christmas || Where to stay, eat, shop and snack

Every year I take a Christmas trip to London either for the day or for the weekend. Who knows if this will happen this year but if it is allowed I'll be ready!
Here are my go-to fave things to do while on the traditional festive trip.

1. STAY
Where to stay with a gorgeous view of Kensington gardens? The Royal Garden Hotel of course!
We've been staying here for years and absolutely love it. They dec the place out so incredibly well for Christmas too. A room facing the high street is also as equally breath taking.

2. EAT
Head to a bakery for a festive themed treat. We were lucky enough to visit the Dominique Ansel bakery last year before it unfortunately closed this year permanently due to covid.

These cute little bakeries & cafes are top of my list for my first London trip:

3. EXPLORE
Elizabeth Street, Belgravia - Full of incredible door decor and shop fronts that go all out for the festive season. Grab a hot choc to go and walk around this gorgeous area.

Pavilion Rd, Chelsea - another cute little alley with loads of beautiful shops and restaurants

EAT
A walk around Harrods is always lovely, especially when the Christmas shop is open. Stop off for a Pizza at the Harrods Pizzeria. Delicious and perfect for a quick pit stop meal mid shop.

4. SHOP
For the past few years I've bought a Tiffany diary and the true shopping experience is buying it in store rather online. My fave tiffany store is Sloane Street as we've had so many special memories there.

SHOP
So you've bought next years diary, now lets go get a fabulous pair of heels, preferably with wings fluttering above the heel! Every time I head to the Sophia Webster store (this one was the Sloane Ave store) I contact Nadine ahead of our trip, check out her shoe-spiration insta here: @nadine_sophiawebster

Nadine is the true shoe guru!

5. HOT CHOC STOP
Covent garden may be a bit bonkers around Christmas time but the Hotel Chocolat store does the most incredible hot choc to take away!

EAT / SLEEP
I love to finish off the day back at The Royal Garden Hotel with a glass of champers and if the day has all been a bit much and you can't be bothered to stray from the premises, book into Min Jiang on the top floor of the hotel. Pre order the duck in advance and you won't regret it!
