Afternoon Tea at Dior || The new AW23 Dior TOUJOURS bag

There is no shopping experience quite like Dior, and it turns out there is no experience quite like dining at Dior while shopping at Dior! I was invited to Dior at Selfridges, Manchester for afternoon tea a few weekends ago to check out the new AW23 arrivals but before we even start on the new bags I loved, can we just admire the Dior Maison crockery, cutlery and glassware!
The teacup and saucer was a work of art in itself! I've been documenting on my insta about the current need for a new mug for my studio . . .

On to the bags, I've got my eye on two different designs . . . both black . . . god forbid I wear colour

Teacup and saucer of dreams!

I am very much loving the Dior Cara with gunmetal hardware, not new for AW23 but it would like to be a new part of my wardrobe

This new bag is called the Toujours bag, it comes in a few very autumnal colours too that stole my heart a little!

Afternoon tea at Tiffany's . . . . we couldn't get the time slot for breakfast!

There was absolutely no messing about when we heard The Tiffany Blue Box cafe would be coming to Harrods. Me and Kate spent a good few weeks, every Friday (and midnight on Thursday night just in case) trying to book a table
They release tables for 2 weeks ahead every 'Friday morning' which we interpreted as 'from midnight onward'.  It was actually more like Friday at 10.32am-ish when the tables were released. I was refreshing my screen every 3 seconds in Manchester and Kate was trying to organise the situation from London. After 3 hours of this, we thought we'd buggered it up but then eventually a miracle happened.
Kate stepped off the tube back into the land of wifi to a mental whatsapp from me in shouty capitals saying 'WE'RE IN'!

Are you and your friends like this? For a little tiny while do you forget about life's actual real problems and step into a world of blissful first world ones like getting a table at Tiffany's in Harrods?!

Well moving on . . . here are the pics!

Where to enjoy the most luxury designer afternoon tea? At The Berkeley with Dior of course! || Prêt-à-Portea

The amazingly attentive waitress explained to us that Dior approached The Berkeley to create a fashion themed afternoon tea and as this was my second visit, I'm not that surprised.
The first was during London Fashion week a few years ago and true to their usual form, all the cakes matched accessories and clothing that had just strutted down runway.
Check out our first visit here.

The Berkeley itself faces a gorgeous row of immaculate London townhouses in Knightsbridge, you could sit and people watch (with champers in hand sweetie darling) for hours!
A nice touch to the set up was the scattered Dior home fragrances, candles and books but not like exiting via the gift shop style, none of these items were for sale. They just helped to immerse you into Mr Christian Dior's world, along with the choice of flower on the tables. One that had grown in his parents French villa garden.

The cakes looked almost too good to eat . . . . . but we actually had no problem in devouring them one at a time. The teeny tiny red Lady Dior bag being a particular favourite, air light red velvet cake that melted in you mouth yum!
We of course kept standards classy with our Bar jacket chocolate biscuit photo! (see below). Sorry (not sorry) if we killed the high end vibe for diners around us.

The whole experience was fantastic and faultless. If you are heading to the V&A to see the Dior designer of dreams exhibition, be sure to book your afternoon tea at The Berkeley before or after.
