Rianna Phillips X Style Diary - Unboxing the Dior bag

What better way to unveil a new Dior bag?
With Krispy Kreme doughnuts and Starbucks hot hot choc of course! (is the answer ever not food?)
In case you didn't already know, I'm actually working my way through every hot chocolate there is available on the planet and rating each one as I glug. All available to view on this specially dedicated insta-story highlight here. Let the #RPhotchocchallenge commence! Recommendations welcome, I'm happy to travel . . . globally ha ha!

After a marvellous time at Dior at Selfridges (Manchester exchange square), here is the outcome . . . a mini saddle bag! Hurrah! See the Selfridges/Dior personal shopping experience blog post here.
The aim of the game is to not be overly precious with this bag and wear it all the time. Far too often things like this stay in a box and become 'shelf decor' in my house.
Not this time!!!
Hydrated with a toasted marshmallow hot chocolate as I unwrap each layer and a nibble of the new Christmas doughnut collection, the unboxing of this bag has cost me around 1500 calories but hey, you only live once.

Slow Living || The best countryside valley in The Lake District

Stop. Unwind. Relax
Embrace the changing season, grab your sketchbook/diary and head outdoors!
I took a weekend out to visit my Aunty & Uncles B&B in the Lake District, Duddon Valley.

I can't believe there is just over a month left of working in my diary. This years journal has been a rather fabulous Tiffany one, I've loved it that much that I think i'll be buying the same again for next year but in a different colour! Something really adventurous . . . like black!

After lugging this tiffany blue diary around with me everywhere, there is not one scuff mark on its pebbled leather outer. It's lasted beautifully well. Used for collecting colour palette inspiration, design ideas, travel research, style inspo, documenting day to day life and literally doodling designs straight into. It's even got pages that are painted in watercolour.
In the days leading up to a collection release, I'd be lost without specific pages that have scrawlings etched on and around the lines.

Every page is a memorable labour of love, documented throughout 2019!

My weak spot is Dior . . . and pizza

I love shopping, I can't even slightly begin to deny it.

Having Dior on my doorstep in Manchester, Selfridges is such a treat as the brand is one I have followed for so many years. Since striking a fabulous friendship up with Suzie, the store manager; it's like popping in to see a friend every time we are in Selfridges! Suzie runs an insta account called Dior Girl Diaries, go check it out to stay in the loop with the stores new arrivals.

There is never any pressure to place an order but if you do, the event all becomes very extra special! Actually to be honest, it's special every time. Once I literally popped in to say hi and ended up have 2 glasses of champers before heading off to do a meeting!

With the bag of my dreams literally in the bag, we headed off to a fun personal shopping experience with Connie, another insta account to follow if you like to be kept in the designer know.

Many party dresses tried on, Dior bags flung about everywhere and 1 pizza later . . . . here is the day in pictures. From one Dior lover to another . . . Enjoy!
