Up to snow good || Time in Tignes

After a wonderful time in Paris, we drove on to Tignes where a snow blizzard was ever so kindly waiting for us! I've not ski'd since 1999 so a week before we went, we did a mad dash to the Trafford centre.
Adamant that I did not want to be that colourful bright yellow banana rolling down a ski slope, the hunt was on for a monochrome outfit.
After checking out Topshop Sno and a few sport shops (don't frequent them enough to remember their names) I settled on a Superdry set. Resembling Shamu the whale, at least I am definitely not anywhere near brightly coloured and much easier to lose in the snow . . . great!

The temptation to buy moon boots from Net-A-Porter was strong pre trip. I resisted.
We walked into the ski resort where nearly every shop stocked them so what colour did I go for . . . black and white.

It was out of my control and sadly was given a pair of BLUE hire ski boots. They don't look it but they really were bright blue. The assistant made it up to me with white ski's . . . phew!

My fabulous instructor Neil of Parallel Lines ski school. Not only did he get me skiing, we had a mini blogger style photoshoot at the top of the Palafour route!

Even at night, the views were magical!

The best places to explore in Paris || Montmartre

Located on what felt like the steepest incline EVER! The beautiful little quaint area of Paris called Montmartre is a tiny slice of high up there heaven. It literally is high up there, look at the view you can see to the right of the worlds most instagrammable pink building 'La Maison Rose'.
We treated ourselves to a drink at La Consulat once we'd reached this extra cute and traditional section on Paris.
I assumed we'd be queuing out the door to get a table however the whole area was a ghost town! It was fantastic! Not sure if it was due to the time of year or perhaps time of day but we wandered around this whole area as if it was our own vip village.

The weather was chilly and crisp but my oversized cream knit kept me extra warm. The polka dot tights that were extremely adventurous for my day-to-day style (but hey . . . when in Paris) were not meant for a freezing cold day at all but I was fully committed to the look!

When dusk arrived, the views got more and more breathe taking so we continuously stopped for macaroons, almond croissants and hot chocolate to draw out our adventures in Montmartre.

Me and the hubby have celebrated many birthdays together but to turn 31 on the same day, together in Paris, really was a special day :-)
