Rianna X Style Diary - Retail therapy at The Outnet

If you didn't know, I'm huge Alexander Wang fan. I have a pinterest board gathering all imagery related to the designer's off-duty model style clothing and accessories. My studio walls were dedicated to him during university and the moment his SS10 collection (the one that really roped me into the Wang world!) landed at The Outnet . . . I was hooked. I had nearly half the collection at a fraction of the cost. That was 8 years ago and my shopping habits have not altered!

So that's the beginning of my love affair with The Outnet. Owned by Net-A-Porter, it's my go to destination for luxe designer pieces that I've originally spotted on the catwalk.

Everyone huddle round whilst I unwrap the beige pebbled leather goodness!

Make your own flower wall

Inspired by my recent trip to Elan cafe where I discovered their beautiful floral wall entirely covered in blooms! I felt it was time to use the silk foliage left over from my wedding decor to create a floral backdrop for my studio. It was really easy to do and didn't take very long at all.

Ingredients needed:

1 large cork pin board - I painted mine white

Pack of dress makers pins

A selection of silk flowers - My absolute faves are from uk based ebay store Heavenly Homes and Gardens.

I also love this store and this store for great artificial draping wisteria.

These are my fave stores for artificial silk peonies here and here.

Starting from one corner, densely attach layers of silk flowers to the board using the dress makers pins to firmly attach each bloom. I snipped the plastic stems off most of the flowers using a little tool kit like this on here

Wedding in the Woods || Self Portrait Wedding Dress of my Dreams

Possibly one of the most exciting outfit posts EVER! My wedding dress!
Purchased directly from the Self Portrait website, no fuss and there was no lengthy decision making. I loved it as soon as I saw it online and when I tried it on I didn't want to take it off.

Fashion is my LIFE and I wanted to wear something from a designer I had always aspired to own a piece from. What better excuse then on your wedding day?
