Heading for a Stay-cation rather then a vacay this year? || Where to stay and what to do in Windermere

Suddenly find yourself heading more towards a stay-cation rather then a vacay abroad this year?
Never has the time felt better to champion a few local business that I regularly visit when staying in Windermere.

A hot tub on your rooms balcony, overlooking the beautiful English countryside. Do i need to say much else? We've stayed at The Burnside quite a few times and keep going back. It's always a wonderful experience and they embrace old school qualities like a very helpful (and rather cheeky!) concierge gentleman who dishes out hot cookies upon arrival. Literally brownie points!

They have a huge spa and pool facility on site along with beauty treatments and a cinema room. You can grab a glass of prosecco from the little pool side bar while lounging around the pool and enjoy saunas, steam rooms and a plunge pool that I've never even dipped a toe in . . . too busy drinking prosecco!
The bedrooms are all gorgeous, very grande 'country living' style, many chandeliers knocking about and massive armchairs face the un-spoilt countryside and lake views.

Things to do in Windermere: Go on a boat tour of course!

Where to self-isolate!

The Fizzy Tarte:
A patisserie and a Champagne bar, what a winning combination!

Afternoon tea at Tiffany's . . . . we couldn't get the time slot for breakfast!

There was absolutely no messing about when we heard The Tiffany Blue Box cafe would be coming to Harrods. Me and Kate spent a good few weeks, every Friday (and midnight on Thursday night just in case) trying to book a table
They release tables for 2 weeks ahead every 'Friday morning' which we interpreted as 'from midnight onward'.  It was actually more like Friday at 10.32am-ish when the tables were released. I was refreshing my screen every 3 seconds in Manchester and Kate was trying to organise the situation from London. After 3 hours of this, we thought we'd buggered it up but then eventually a miracle happened.
Kate stepped off the tube back into the land of wifi to a mental whatsapp from me in shouty capitals saying 'WE'RE IN'!

Are you and your friends like this? For a little tiny while do you forget about life's actual real problems and step into a world of blissful first world ones like getting a table at Tiffany's in Harrods?!

Well moving on . . . here are the pics!
