SS17/18 || The Tropical Edit

The tropical palm leaf print continues to be in popular demand, especially with the UK's recent heat wave. It's interesting to see though that this print sells to customers all over the world regardless of the weather, particularly in Canada, Japan, Norway, Australia and New Zealand.
Although I live in Manchester, I actually photographed the palm tree print whilst travelling around Bali. I was staying in Seminyak, although it's quite a built up area there are palm trees everywhere :-)

Here are a few pieces flying out of the studio

Rianna X Style Diary - Under the Floral Spell

I recently visited my Aunts B&B in the Lake District and was absolutely delighted to see the Wisteria that's creeping up the side of her (rather fabulous) Bed and Breakfast.

It was photographed, used as a backdrop and is now obviously being turned into a print design (available here). What better way to document the days outfit, with a beautiful lilac Wisteria encroaching into the backdrop. The setting matched my new Quay Australia Capricorn sunnies perfectly, paired with my new throw on style drawstring duffle bag from M&S. I spotted this bag on Sheer-Luxe and literally dragged my mum off on a shopping trip to hunt it down.
The top is uber comfy and combines my all time fave boho mix of blue and white, purchased from TU at Sainsburys a few weeks ago for the fabulous price of £14.

My new accessory staple which is perfect for nights over in a B&B is the Blush Pink velvet print waterproof monogram clutch, which doubles up as a wash bag and evening clutch for meals out at night.

Rianna X Style Diary - London in Spring

London in Spring, it's beautiful!

What better time of year to enjoy walking around the city. I had meetings with stockists, had a ball of a time seeing the lovely ASOS team, met up with a fellow creative about a future product photo-shoot and of course ate my way around London with the bezzie.
Overall a very successful trip. All of which was documented on instagram & snapchat.

It was the perfect opportunity to nip into Dior and check out the 'We should all be feminists' movement, thinking any of the slogan t-shirts would be in stock was wishful thinking.

The weather was kind to us, I got away with wearing this frilly off the shoulder top from Zara along with my new fave lawless jeans by Missguided & River Island faux fur scarf.
Heading off to meetings meant I needed my laptop with me at all times so I took the new Speckle print neoprene padded laptop case. After being asked repeatedly by customers to do a laptop case I have finally made it happen! They are available in marble, eyelash print and with monogram options.

Student take over || Rianna Phillips X Becky Mars

Firstly . . . Becky Mars is her real name.
An amazing name for a fab career ahead!

I've been collaborating with the vibrant students at Manchester School of Art and THIS epic edit is one of the fantastic outcomes. Created by 'Textiles in Practice' student Becky Mars, who specialises in art direction, prop making and styling. I gave her a handful of my top sellers to style as she wishes and this was the fabulous outcome.

Shop the edit || Blush pink & Powder blue

B L U S H    P I N K
The 'IT' colour of the year and I am absolutely obsessed. Pink has never been a colour I thought i'd have in my home but it has slowly crept in. Inspiration has been taken from old Hollywood decor to influence the crushed velvet AW17 capsule collection and I have of course had a full set made for my own use. Here is a round up of all my current pink obsessions, some I have bought, others yet to buy and a few I can only dream of . . . . that sofa (number 12)!

Summer is on it's way and I intend to spend time sat by a very blue ocean. Inspired by my favourite tone powder blue and all shades in the spectrum from there until we reach deep blue . . . let's get ready for summer! I keep seeing these sailor savvy knot loafers everywhere, it wasn't until I spotted these beauties at net-a-porter that I realised uber cool brand NO.21 is responsible for the laid back look. I also have a few of those new and luxurious looking Pandora stacking bangles on my hit list. When you see them in the flesh they have a minimal but high shine effect. The perfect finishing touch to an outfit for those lazy summer evenings spent with friends in a bar with a long cocktail :-)
