Studio || Design space

The last time I documented my studio space I was waiting to launch the spring images we'd just photographed. A few months on and not only have the spring images been and gone but the new collection has been released! Where does the time go?!

So here are a few snaps of my creative space, it's looking particularly colourful at the moment as SS16 is starting to take shape :-)

I tend to have a really eclectic archive of fashion, interior and lifestyle mags that are picked up along my travels, they serve as a source for colour & inspiration. I picked up this great one in Canada a few years ago called Ion magazine and am now hooked on their website and instagram account! Another great one found whilst in London is Mix publications, a great find whilst browsing the stands at the Harrods book store.

The pink pineapple up on the wall was given to me by an amazing (and very sporadic!) student who I taught at the beginning of the year whilst lecturing on the Textiles in Practice course at Manchester School of Art. She created it using a Risograph machine as a part of her project and when she presented it to me during a tutorial I informed her I HAD to have one for the studio wall! It's SO PINK! :-)

Along with fabric swatches I keep a glass bowl full of beach findings on the shelf from my last trip to Australia & Bali. The adventure continues to fuel me with inspiration and photographs from the trip have been translated directly into print designs already. The origin of the Coolness portfolio clutch bag print can be seen in snaps from my Bali adventures here: http://rianna-studio.blogspot.co.uk/2015/06/designers-directory-bali.html

Enjoy the little photographic studio tour!

Say What || The Lookbook

N E W   C O L L E C T I O N
'SAY WHAT?'
It's here! Excited to announce the launch of the new collection 'Say What?'. It's been a joy to design and is an immediate response to the fashion bubble we live in. Inspired by popular culture and imagery that surrounds us via tumblr, pinterest & instagram. View the design boards from the studio walls here. Inspiration has been drawn from the queens of our teen years like Regina George and Patsy Stone. Slogans picked up from comical instagram hashtags have been translated into print design slogans and phrases. Which phrase best suits you? Coolness? Love Not War?, #JUSTSAYIN?!

♡ This collection we've also decided to add a detachable across-body chain strap to the portfolio clutch bags

Rianna X Personal Style

It's true to say I use my own products 99% of the time. I love using the mini clutch size bags as a cosmetics organiser. It's just the right size to avoid make up brushes getting squished at the ends (pet hate). My latest beauty addition is this Dior N°17 Kabuki brush, great for applying a hint of summer bronzer. And the clutch bag of choice - The Flux mini clutch - £36
