Designers Directory || Bali

Although it's been a while since my visit to Bali, this trip continues to bring inspiration to my current print designs. These are just a few of the photographs taken during my stay, I found inspiration around every corner of the hotel and local town.

 We stayed in a villa within the grounds of Bali Ayu in Seminyak. The resort was hidden in plain view amongst a bustling street full of bars, boutiques, art galleries and street venders. The tiny hotel front entrance was like Narnia, a narrow pathway that went on and on and eventually lead us to our own private villa right at the back of the plot.

I've posted more details about the hotel at the Designers Directory, you'll find the trip added right at the bottom of the page. With a koi pond in the living room and our own private pool, it's safe to say the hotel is well worth a visit if you're ever in the area.

Worn by || Sophie Allen

Who's that girl?! The gorgeous Sophie Allen of fashion and lifestyle blog 'The Fashion Rubiks' wears the Theo portfolio clutch whilst holidaying in Marbella. One word . . . JEALOUS!!
What an absolute knock out look, don't even get me started on how amazing the backdrop is!

The story behind the print || Serenity

I can't quite believe it was last October that I was exploring the beautiful idyllic Bali shores <3
Even though I didn't really know it at the time, the visit began to shape the next print collections ahead. Sometimes my design process is very technical and includes a mix of photographs, sketches, bead work and painting but the Serenity print (from the Hybrid collection) is as simple as what you see below. A very literal translation. Sometimes there really is no need for a filter!
A pretty print it may be but hopefully it will help bring a touch of Bali serenity to your everyday life :-)

Prêt-à-Portea || The Berkeley

A F T E R N O O N   T E A   at   T H E   B E R K E L E Y

For a few years I've been piecing together a list of inspirational places and spaces that have either been recommended or I've been lucky enough to stumble across on my travels. These are all gathered under the 'Designers Directory' page over at the e-boutique. One of the latest adventures I recommend to you is the fashionista's Prêt-à-Portea dining experience at the prestigious Berkeley hotel, Knightsbridge, London. For those of you who didn't know (we only know after accosting a waiter for a brief history update . . . poor guy) The Berkeley is owned by the same chain as Claridge's but prides itself upon being the more contemporary of the two. The afternoon tea experience is exactly that! A cake gracing one of our cake stand tiers coveted the iconic Moschino McDonalds quilted handbag and a delicious dress shaped biscuit emulated that of Diane Von Furstenberg's recent capsule collection. We were seated in the beautiful 'Caramel Room', the architecture and decor is something to be admired. A fantastic experience to tie in with any London fashion event <3
